1, manufacturing recycled paper
This is the most extensive way to use waste paper. It can be used not only to make recycled packaging paper, but also to make recycled newsprint. A French paper company successfully developed a new process for the regeneration of newsprint. This new process, including deinking, purification of paper fibers, and absorption of inks and impurities, is followed by four steps in papermaking. The specific process is as follows: according to the type of ink, the deinking technology is selected; the paper fiber and the soap deinking agent are sent into the deinking chamber composed of two chambers, so that the ink and the impurities float to the surface with the foam, and are sucked away by the suction device. The purified fiber slurry is concentrated to 15%, and the paper fiber is expanded by heating, and bleaching can be performed to impart gloss to the recycled paper; finally, the high-concentration pulp is sent to the papermaking equipment to be prepared and New paper with the same whiteness as recycled paper.
     2 Production of phenolic resin
Japan's Oji Paper Co., Ltd. has successfully researched new technologies for the production of phenolic resins by dissolving waste paper in phenol. Since phenol is combined with low molecular weight cellulose and hemicellulose, the strength of the phenolic resin produced is higher than that of the product made of phenol and acetaldehyde, and the heat distortion temperature is 10 ° C higher than that of the conventional phenol resin.
In the production, old newspapers and office waste paper can be used as raw materials, but the use of office waste paper as raw material is low in cost, only half of the use of old newspapers.
     3 Making home appliances
In Singapore and other places, people use old paper and other waste paper materials, rolled into round slender sticks, wrapped in plastic paper, hand-woven carpets, cushions, handbags, cat litter, curtains, and even household appliances such as coffee tables and beds. . At the time of production, according to the different shapes of various household appliances, different patterns can be knitted and decorated with colors, so that the produced household appliances are both practical and beautiful.
     4 pressed glued cardboard
The former Czechoslovakian technicians used five layers of waste paper and synthetic resin at a temperature of 80 ° C to jointly press into a glued cardboard with a compressive strength more than twice that of ordinary cardboard. The box made of this kind of glued cardboard can use nails and screws, and can be mounted with bearing rollers, which is almost as strong as a box made of plywood.
     5 molded asphalt corrugated board
The science and technology personnel of the Central Institute of Building Research in India used waste paper, cotton yarn head, coconut fiber and asphalt as raw materials to mold new building materials asphalt concrete corrugated board. The use of the asphalt corrugated board to cover the house has good heat insulation performance, is impervious to water, is light, has low cost, and is also characterized by being non-flammable and corrosion resistant.
     6 Recovery of methane
An expert at the University of Sweden, Lun Dao, pulped the waste paper and added an aqueous solution of anaerobic microorganisms that decompose the organic matter to the slurry; then, it was transferred to the reaction furnace, and the cellulose, methanol and carbohydrates in the waste paper slurry in the furnace. It is converted to methane; the wood extract is removed by enzymes to obtain fuel methane.
     7 Improve soil quality
In some pastures in Alabama, some soils are knotted in the grass. According to the state soil expert James Edwards, based on the characteristics that waste paper does not rot quickly in the soil, the waste paper scraps plus chicken manure and raw soil mix are used to improve the soil quality of the pasture. The ratio is 40% for shredded paper, 10% for chicken manure, and 50% for raw soil. In this way, under the action of the base fertilizer bacteria in chicken manure, the waste paper can be quickly rotted and deteriorated, so that the soil becomes soft and abnormal within 3 months, which is not only suitable for producing pasture, but also for growing grass, and planting soybeans and cotton. And a variety of crops such as vegetables, and the yield is quite high; at the same time, there will be no side effects on the land of the pasture. If two years later, the land is replenished with new shredded paper scraps and chicken manure, the soil becomes more fertile and looser.
